The free to play event also takes place at the same time as an ongoing sale of the game, set to end the day after the free to play access ends. id Software would begin taking over organization of the event in 1999, and after id was acquired by ZeniMax in 2009 the event began incorporating other ZeniMax properties. The event coincides with QuakeCon, a convention which began as a gathering of Quake/id Software fans in 1996. During this window players will have access to the base game of Elder Scrolls Online, as well as the Vvardenfell zone which was originally part of the Morrowind Chapter. This comes with the noted exclusion of the Steam version of the game for the PC version, and Xbox players will still need Xbox Live Gold to access online features. I know of one economy overhaul that does something like that but I believe once the quests are completed they are no longer offered.Elder Scrolls Online is holding a free to play event until August 29th on all platforms. What I would really like, ideally, is a mod that adds random quests to the game, similar to Skyrim (i.e., go to this tower and defeat all the bandits retrieve this item from a cave etc.). I suppose I could start a new character but the idea doesn't fancy me (not yet at least).Īny recommendations from the community, either built-in or from mods? Are there any decent quest mods for characters that fit my profile? The same goes for Shivering Isles though I have less objections for starting that. Moreover, I'll ruin any future development with another character if I want to try to do other guilds. Having done the Thieves / Mages Guild quests and the Dark Brotherhood to completion, the idea of joining another guild is not appealing as a stealth-based character I don't feel joining another guild is in line with my PC. I even miss the Oblivion gates that dotted the landscape at least they offered a break from the usual and allowed for fun loot hunting.Īdmittedly I feel somewhat limited by some personal choices. I may travel from one town to the next and then suddenly I've lost all interest. Lately I'll fire the game up, my fingers itching with anticipation to do something fun. I developed a High Elf nightblade / assassin character from November of last year until April when I finally decided to finish the main quest. I think that is the case with me and I'm really unsure of what to do next. It's been said that one does not simply beat an Elder Scrolls game, it beats you.
